Ol’ Saltee’s is not your average picklery. A contemporary brand with a retro flair Ol’ Saltee’s seeks uses humor and traditional type to create trust and guarantee crunchiness.
Our Design BFA class got the amazing opportunity to work with the illustrative hand letterer, Jonathan Ball, for our Spring 2019 BFA Workshop. Our brief was to create a custom type-based logo and a brand around the mark as well. This is the result of that amazing workshop.
PROCESS
At this point in the project I felt something was off about my logo so I reached to Jonathan Ball for some feedback about how to make my mark a bit more cohesive. He gave me the words to the thoughts I was having in my head, that my current mark is trying to balance four different fonts in one.
